The PPC Click Fraud Prevention Scam

The PPC Click Fraud Prevention Scam

Because more and more businesses are focusing online and using PPC (Google Adwords) for the first time the numerous Click Fraud prevention companies are going all out to drum up new business with cold calls and social media advertising but you need to remember one thing!

CLICK FRAUD PREVENTION IS A SCAM…. Always has been.. Google already spots excessive clicks from the same IP address and other obvious fraudulent actions and refunds you.

NO CODE placed on your website can determine whether or not a click on your ad is from a potential customer a rival looking at your site or someone just browsing.. Think about it?

If i go and click on an ad for a new Lexus who’s to say I’m not in the market for a new Lexus? do these companies read my mind and check my bank account to determine whether I can afford new Lexus and give the advertiser their money back if i can’t… of course they don’t?… When you break it down you realise how ludicrous it all is yet these scam companies (which is all they are) post ads to social media saying bots ARE clicking your ads.

Another thing to remember… Once someone clicks on your ad they leave Google are sent to your website and you are charged.. Code on YOUR website does NOTHING.

What qualifies as a genuine click?

If I’m in the market for a new PS5 I might click on PS5 ad and look at the price. Now if I don’t buy, was it a fraudulent click? In reality paid ads work on very low percentage anyway something like a 5 to 10 percent conversion rate.

If you’re not happy about this they try organic SEO instead. Don’t give any money to these scammers

How do the click fraud scammers convince people?

Before they cold call you these CLICK FRAUD PREVENTION scammers WILL click your ads from multiple IP’s to spend your funds so you’ll believe you are a victim of click fraud.. You ARE but it’s these guys.

A few years ago there where one or two of these click fraud prevention companies testing the water to see if people really were so naive, now there are dozens of them all receiving money for doing absolutely nothing.

Quickly diminishing PPC funds are down to the lack of optimisation, the use of Broad match keywords and a lack of an understand of how PPC actually works and not down to fraud.

Like previously mentioned if you don’t like the PPC conversion rate then look into organic SEO, it may be better for you.
